In order to provide an easy way for Mandrams and Sakthi Peetams throughout the world to post information on the internet we provide 200 kbytes of space for any registered Mandram or Sakthi Peetam free of charge. For details send an inquiry to webmaster@omsakthi.org. An explanation of how the movement is organized and the numbers of mandrams can be found here. Sakthi PeetamsSakthi Peetams are local temples devoted to Goddess Adhiparasakthi. Each Sakthi Peetam has a resident statue of Adhiparasakthi which is similar to the original in Melmaruvathur. This is known as the Karuvarai Amma. Unlike Hindu temples, there are no resident priests in the temple who are in charge of running it. Instead, devotees of the local mandram or mandrams in charge of the Sakthi Peetam take turns administering to all the needs of the temple and the people who visit. This is similar to the way the Siddhar Peetam in Melmaruvathur is administered. Each Sakthi Peetam undertakes numerable charitable activities for people in the local area.
Mandram Pages
If there is no registered mandram listed near you, you can still find unregistered mandrams, other sakthis, or people interested in the movement by going to our Sakthi Finder Page. Additionally there are a number of web sites devoted to the Movement which may have information regarding local mandrams. | ||||||||||||||||
