  1. Who is being referred to by the term, Amma? Is Amma the man or is it Goddess Adhiparasakthi?
Amma (Tamil for mother) is used by people when referring to their Goddess. In the case of the Movement it was originally used only when referring to Goddess Adhiparasakthi. However, as time went by people started referring to Bangaru Adigalar by this name as well, partly because some people view him as mother and partly because Goddess Adhiparasakthi has said in oracle that She is with him nearly all the time. Goddess Adhiparasakthi is usually referred to by Annai, which is the formal term for mother.
  2. Why is Bangaru Adigalar referred to interchangably as he and she?
Largely for the same reasons discussed above.
  3. Is this person supposed to be the second incarnation of Christ?
No. In fact, Amma has said that Christ's return is still to come.
  4. Isn't this movement promoting the establishment of a single global religion?
No. Amma has said that no one should abandon the religion they were born to. Each person was born into their religion for a reason and should not abandon it. The things offered by the Om Sakthi Spiritual Movement should only be used to help each individual nurture their spirituality and get closer to God.
  5. Does Amma say that a belief in Her or Him is required in order to reach God?
No. Adhiparasakthi has said in oracle that you do not even have to believe in Her. Your selfless works are what matter most, not your beliefs.
  6. Is this movement Hindu?
No. There was even a court case in India to settle this question and the court ruled that this movement is not Hindu. It is more of a philosophy which accepts and embraces all religions.
