As related in a previous news item, people participating in the Irumudi pilgrimage should wear a Sakthi Malai necklace and Irumudi bag on their way to the temple. The cost for these is only $1 but if anyone wants to make a donation on top of this cost they are welcome to do so. Amma told us this week that S/he wants all American devotees to know that this donation money will be used to help pay for one wing of the free hospital in Melmaruvathur, India. To show their appreciation, this wing of the hospital will be dedicated to all American devotees. A plaque will be installed to let everyone who visits the hospital know that even people so far away are thinking of them in their time of need and want to do what they can to help provide the medical care they need without having to worry at all about how they will pay for it.

So far, the outpatient wing of the hospital is open and being used to treat patients. When completed, each wing will be dedicated to a different purpose. We hope that all devotees participating in Irumudi will help out as much as they can to make sure that the hospital can continue to expand and serve the medical needs of the community without asking anything in return. The ultimate goal is to have a world class hospital which is free to everyone throughout the world who wants to come.
